Solis is a self-taught artist, originally from Costa Rica. He has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 30 years. Having practiced his art since childhood, Solis has developed an interesting series of styles, all uniquely his own.

About my art
"I have painted, repaired and remodeled San Francisco houses, inside and outside, Victorians, stucco, faux painting, painting on wood on walls on canvas. I have created sculpture from blackberry bushes, grape vines, driftwood, rocks and other items that pass through my life. I get an idea in my mind and then I make a series of paintings or sculptures to express that idea."
